He started shooting landscapes in 2009 when he got his first DSLR.

He slowly gave up his job as a music teacher abroad while gradually building up a career in travel and landscape photography.

Francis has published many images in magazines like Landscape Photographer and Long Exposure Photography Magazine.

He’s been guiding photography tours in countries like Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Slovenia, Italy, Norway and Iceland since 2018.

Francis is a local influencer for brands such as Fujifilm, H&Y Filters, Leofoto Tripods, and LowePro.

Journey through one of the most beautiful tropical islands in Indonesia. Sumba is an island in eastern Indonesia. It is one of the Lesser Sunda Islands and is in the province of East Nusa Tenggara. The scenery is a paradise for coastal and minimalism photography. We will take a flight form Bali to the island and explore the area on board an SUV. We will drive up to different coastal locations to witness its spectacular beauty during sunrise/sunset for stunning light and colors and also during twilight/night for star trails or Milky Way. A rare photographic opportunity for photographers motivated in pushing their portfolio and skills to the next level

Join me and Chaerul Umam photograph two great Indonesian rocky coasts next year. Anyer is a coastline near Jakarta that offers interesting subjects for minimalist seascape photography. We will photograph unique mangrove trees and a stranded wooden ship. Pegadungan beach is a hidden paradise in Kelumbayan. If you are a serious coastal photographers, you will be amazed by its impressive shark-teeth rock formations that were formed for millions of years due to strong wave activities in the area.
